Notifications

Every relevant event goes to the compliance log. Some also send an email. This page lists those emails, who gets them, and where you set the recipients.

Set the recipients

  1. Open the QuoteXelerator app settings and choose the Notifications tab.
  2. Pick the list you want to change:
    • Change-notification email addresses: changes to line items QuoteXelerator created.
    • FX drift recipients: currency movement on your quotes.
    • Reserve responsibles: currency reserve alerts.
  3. Enter an Email address and choose Add. Remove takes someone off the list.

Owners manage these lists. A manager with the owner's behalf permission can manage the FX drift and reserve lists, and only the owner and such managers can be on them. If a list is empty, its emails go to the owner. Every change to a list is recorded in the compliance log.

Changes to generated line items

QuoteXelerator watches the line items it created on a deal. An email goes to the change-notification addresses when someone:

  • adds, edits or removes one of those line items,
  • changes a property of the quote, or
  • deletes the quote.

The email shows what changed, the old and new value, the line item, who made the change, and the deal total before and after. Changes made together arrive as one email. Nothing is undone. Other fields and records on the deal are not watched.

Currency drift

Two emails warn you when exchange rates move against a quote. Both go to the FX drift recipients.

  • At quote generation. If the market rate has moved past your threshold on a deal priced from a live currency purchase, the recipients get an email right away. The quote is still generated.
  • Daily digest. Once a day we compare the ECB rate with the rates of your open quotes on deals in Contract Sent. The digest lists quotes where the rate has moved against you past your threshold. Deals priced from a currency reserve are left out, because their rate was fixed when you bought the currency.

You control when they fire:

  • Drift threshold on the Currency Reserves tab: a percentage between 0.1% and 10%.
  • Alert amount in a recipe: an amount at stake on a single deal. Whichever of the two is reached first sends the email.

Expired vendor quotes

Line items for an approved target price are created when someone uses the approval, which can be days after the request. If an open vendor quote behind them has expired by then, the FX drift recipients get an email. The line items are still created, and the card shows a warning. See Target pricing.

Currency reserves

The reserve responsibles get an email when a reserve is used up past a set level, and when there is not enough reserve to cover a deal. Set the levels under Reserve thresholds on the Currency Reserves tab: Stage 1 (70% by default) and Stage 2 (90% by default), each between 50% and 95%. You can set them per currency pair and direction. See Currency reserves.

Token expiry

A vendor token belongs to the person who added it, so the reminders go to that person. They get an email 30 days and 3 days before the token's expiry date. We also check every stored token once a day. See Vendor quote import for how to replace one without a gap.

Billing and account emails

Payments run through Stripe. Stripe's billing contact for your account receives the checkout confirmation, payment receipts, failed payment notices and cancellation confirmations. We also send a welcome email and reminders before your trial ends. These emails cannot be changed on the Notifications tab.
