Hi, I'm Benjamin.
I spent more than two years as an inside sales representative at a software reseller, converting external software vendor quotes into EUR quotes manually. Every day, the same process: receive a vendor quote, transform the values into formulas, check the exchange rate, calculate the margin, type it all into the CRM, and get an approval.
At some point, I started building custom scripts to automate parts of it. They worked until they didn't. Supplier document structures changed, new edge cases emerged, and the scripts became outdated and always needed manual updates. And if I were to leave the company, all that process knowledge would walk out the door with me.
That's when the idea took shape: why not build a tool everyone can use? One that brings transparency to a process that is normally manual-intensive, highly complex, and full of uncontrollable, unforeseeable changes.
Today, some teams try to solve this with AI or manual workarounds. But AI lacks idempotency, a necessity for any recurring process: the same input can produce different outputs each time, and with it comes the risk of hallucinations, which is not acceptable when you're generating financial quotes. A single wrong decimal can cost you an entire deal margin. It also introduces format inconsistencies that change the process entirely and take more time to approve than to actually solve, even though AI is theoretically faster at generating.
Others rely on rigid approval workflows: every small rate update requires pulling the manager out of their work for a sign-off. It's disruptive for everyone involved, and the coverage is never complete. Neither approach delivers the speed and completeness that a purpose-built tool provides.
I love building solutions and chose the entrepreneurial route because I believe manual processes where no value-added return is possible should be handled by a technical solution. QuoteXelerator starts with HubSpot, the environment I know best. Nevertheless, the vision goes further, possibly even a tool-independent approach down the road.
Right now, QuoteXelerator is in alpha testing, and I'm planning to release it soon. I'm looking for partners who want clarity in this complex process, protect their margins, and be able to scale faster while saving labor costs. This is the first product I have made and plan to use as a stepping stone to further ventures. At heart, I love solving problems, and even more so creating solutions that are effective, efficient, and provide value for people who feel this pain and want to solve it permanently.
